Terms of Service
Last updated October 3, 2026
The rules for using Deewan: your account, acceptable use, the service we provide, and the limits of our responsibility.
01Agreement
By creating an account, or by joining a meeting as a guest, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use Deewan on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.
02Your account
Give accurate information and keep your password safe. You are responsible for activity on your account; tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Organization owners and admins control their workspace: who is a member, their roles, and the rooms and meetings in it.
03Acceptable use
Don't use Deewan to break the law, infringe others' rights, harass, threaten or exploit anyone, or share content you don't have the right to share.
Don't record or transcribe others without the consent the law requires where you and they are.
Don't attempt to disrupt the service, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, bypass its security, or access data that isn't yours. Responsible security reports are welcome at the contact address below.
Hosts are responsible for who they admit to their meetings and for the rules they set in them — including whether others may join before a host arrives, and who may access recordings.
If you publish a booking link, you are responsible for the questions it asks and for how you use the answers. Ask only for what you need.
04Developers and the API
If you build on Deewan's API, keep your API keys secret and on your server, and don't share them. You are responsible for requests made with your keys and for the people you let into meetings through your join links.
You must tell your own users what you do with their data, and obtain any consent your service needs. When you send people to Deewan through your links, you are responsible for that relationship; we act on your instructions.
We may apply rate limits and usage caps to protect the service, and may suspend keys that are abused or put others at risk.
API usage is prepaid and charged at the price shown in the developer dashboard (currently US$0.0004 per participant-minute, billed per second) for rooms created through the API and for people who join through API links or tokens. We will give notice before changing the price; the new price applies only to usage after the change. When your credit is used up, new join links and tokens may be refused; meetings in progress are not cut off, and their time is charged when they end.
Top-ups are paid by card through HyperPay, our payment provider, in the currency shown at checkout; credit is always added in US dollars, at the exchange rate shown before you pay if the card is charged in another currency.
05Your content
What you share in Deewan stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to transmit and display it to the people you share it with, and to operate the service.
06The service
We work to keep Deewan available and secure, but we provide it "as is" and may change, add or remove features. We will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce what you rely on.
Live captions are generated automatically and can be inaccurate. Don't rely on them where accuracy matters.
07Suspension and ending
You can stop using Deewan and delete your account at any time from Settings.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put other users or the service at risk. Where reasonable, we will tell you why.
08Liability
To the extent the law allows, Deewan is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
09Changes and contact
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will notify account holders before it takes effect; continuing to use Deewan after that means you accept the updated terms.
